Beautiful 1920's Handcarved dowry box, made in India.
These were used as dowry boxes, jewelry, trinkets and other valuables.
Elephant design wooden case with an elephant on each corner elevating the box.
Lovely hand carving with metal and brass attachments and filigree.
The case is quite large and shows slight wear and patina consistent with age, which does not diminish its charm.
It is in original vintage condition.
